Who would have thought I would photograph the gentleman from Lowe’s who helped us so much while building our house. I think he felt sorry for me. It was a bit overwhelming building a house…not to mention having a baby in the process. Before we finished building, David told me he wanted me to photograph his wedding when the day came. Fast forward a few years and here we are!! I’ve grown to really love this couple and what they stand for. They even gave me some fresh eggs when we met to discuss the details of the day.
Now onto the wedding day. Sowell Farms was the location and let me just say…it’s PERFECT for your outside barn type wedding. They have two rooms for getting ready, several outdoor areas that are breathtaking for the ceremony location, and a barn that is to die for. David and Elizabeth decided to meet each other at the alter so we saved most the photos for after they became MR & MRS. One highlight of the ceremony I personally loved was the unity cross vs. using a candle.
David & Elizabeth thankfully set aside some time for us to take some additional photos while the guest had cocktail hour. I’m realizing though there is never enough time at this type of location. I could have photographed this sweet couple all day! They smiled quickly and we then joined the party for dinner, dancing, and making special memories!
